Y’all!
This morning I woke up to an Etsy notification — someone bought the last lonely 2024 planner that has been hanging out in my shop for the past year. At first, I took it as a sign and thought, “Look! The Universe is clearing the last bit of space to make room for the new planners!”
Then, I received a message from the repeat buyer who said it was a mistake 😂 They didn’t double check the year before they placed their order, they just knew they wanted to replace their 2024 DSWL planner with the 2025 edition.
I responded and let them know that the DSWL 2025 planners are dropping next Saturday (11/30/24) in my Etsy shop for Small Business Saturday! If you’ve been around for awhile, you know I always drop them with a Small Business Sale price too ;)
Earlier this Fall I shared this Planner Profile from
when I had the idea to start collecting reflections from folks who have been using the planners as a part of their self-love rituals since day one.Today, I’m so excited to share Alli Wenman’s planner profile. I met Alli while working at my dad’s stand at the Farmer’s Market years ago. We started following each other on social media and I was geeeeked when Alli took a chance on my first ever edition of the DSWL planner in 2023. She even ended up buying more as gifts for friends 😭
Her reflections made me emotional. Especially how she wrote about the memorable moments section of the planner and the significance of life’s simple moments.
I hope her shares inspire you to take note of all the tiny beautiful blessings that surround you every day.
With Love,
Jenna

How long have you been using the DSWL planner? This is my second year!
How do you define self-love? For me, self-love is about the relationship I have with myself and how I'm willing to invest in my general well-being.
Where are you right now in your self-love journey? I'm a work in progress! A big turning point for me was when I started meditating regularly two years ago. That allowed me to be in touch with my body, making space for my intuition to lead me, and taking time to get to know myself and my needs. How do I take good care of myself when my needs are conflicting? (i.e., when I'm tired from a day of traveling but am restless from sitting) To me, self-love is finding a good balance. Knowing when to pull back and rest, as well as knowing when to push myself, and doing it all with a deep appreciation for my past, current, and future self.
How has the DSWL self-love planner supported you on this journey? The DSWL self-planner has helped me track different events/activities/situations in my life and how they impact my mood. This has helped me plan ahead, anticipating what weeks I'll need more support and what kind of support!

What is your favorite prompt or section within your planner? I love the daily prompt for "Memorables!" I did the activity with my 2023 planner where I went back through around the new year and recorded all my memorables from 2023 in one place. I absolutely loved reliving the year by looking back through them all; it reminded me to appreciate the time passing and some of the most simple moments were the most memorable (like, that one time the light was shining through the window at the most amazing angle. I'll never forget that).
What prompt or section has surprised you the most? The one that has surprised me most is the habit tracking. It has helped me get really clear about what habits are important to me, what kinds of things knock me out of my routine, and helps me stay accountable to myself.
Have you ever participated in the beginning of the year activity where you write a letter to your future self? If so, have you experienced opening the letter? I wrote a letter to myself at the beginning of 2024, so I haven't opened it yet (but it's sitting in my nightstand!) 2023 was a very tough year for me. It filled me with hope at the time of writing to think of things a year later, when I would hopefully be in a more healthy place. It also helped give me perspective of how far I had come and how well I had done in taking care of myself during a tough time, as I was naturally reflecting on the previous year while thinking of the next.
What’s one way you’re taking care of your future 2025 self currently? As the days get shorter here, I am taking care of my 2025 self by putting my habits for the dark season into practice now! I don't usually feel the effects of the lack of sunlight until after the holidays but I am making an effort to do the things that I need to before I get there. For the next month, you can find me: getting all the mood lighting set up at home, digging out my Happy Light, renewing my gym membership, and scheduling regular gatherings with friends that we'll continue through the winter.
What would you say to someone who is considering buying the 2025 DSWL planner? Do it! These planners have become my Christmas gifts for my closest friends and family who are on their own journeys.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read Alli’s Planner Profile. If you’re a DSWL planner user and would like to fill out a reflection of your own to share in the coming weeks, you can fill out this form.
